How to Straighten a Warped Board Without a Planer / Jointer
In this article I will show you how to flatten a board without a planer / jointer. All you need is a table saw and a very simple jig. To make the jig you will need two very straight boards in which you have to cut many holes. The photos are for demonstration only, I used bad scrap material, but you have to use perfectly straight wood.
Then you have to make special wooden clamps. Cut two pieces of wood about fifteen centimeters long. Drill two holes in each piece.
To flatten the board, simply place it between the two boards with the holes. Then tighten all the boards with the clamps we made, it is important to place the clamps in the holes and not on the outside of the boards.
Start the machine and slide the boards on the table across the disc. Looking through the holes in the boards, try to slide only the middle board on the blade. It's not a problem if the disc affects some of the other boards, but avoid doing it too much because you will use them the next time you want to straighten a board.
